OUR MISSION

The purpose of the Swiss-American Society of Houston, Texas is to organize, educate, and promote the Swiss culture, languages, and values of the Swiss population in Houston and in the United States of America. As such, this organization supports all venues that represent what it is to be Swiss in our community while promoting goodwill and togetherness within the United States of America.

ABOUT US

Founded in the late 1950s by a small group of Swiss immigrants to Houston, the Swiss-American Society of Houston (SASH) has been promoting Swiss culture, traditions and heritage in the Houston area for over 65 years.

Our diverse and international membership enjoy organizing and attending art exhibitions, lectures, picnics in our beautiful state parks, Swiss cheese fondue and raclette festivals, and playing the Swiss national card game called Jass.

The Swiss events are a great opportunity to meet other Swiss in the Houston area, speak one of the four native languages, learn about Switzerland - or simply have a good time and enjoy a traditional meal.
